This project consisted of the significant remodeling of an existing penthouse located in a high-rise in the Fulton Market District of Chicago.  To maximize the flexibility of the provided space, the work involved the addition of two new loft structures within the volume of the existing living space. The living room loft was suspended from the concrete deck above utilizing painted steel and brushed aluminum allowing for sleek minimal lines.  The office loft, finished in onsite fabricated douglas fir, was envisioned as a bird’s nest creating a warm and comforting space for quiet work.  The project was featured in AIA’s Small Project Awards in 2018.
