Cyrus Rivetna founded Rivetna Architects, Inc. in 2005 with the vision to create a firm which produces architecture that satisfies both the spirit and the practical. With over 30 years of experience, he serves as the Firm Principal, overseeing the execution of select projects and the overall management of the firm. His expertise spans design and project management across a variety of developments.
Before establishing Rivetna Architects, Cyrus held senior design and management roles at various Chicago architecture firms and served as a Senior Architect at Sangath, the office of Pritzker Prize-winning architect BV Doshi. There, he gained invaluable insights into community-focused and modern vernacular architecture. His extensive experience includes a diverse range of project types and sizes, such as large multi-family residences, libraries, schools, historic restorations, high-end single-family homes, and affordable housing. Cyrus holds degrees in architecture from the University of Illinois and Lawrence Technological University.
He is the proud recipient of the prestigious Henry Adams Award from the American Institute of Architects. In addition to his architectural accomplishments, Cyrus is a published and exhibited photographer, as well as an expert on ancient Zoroastrian fire temples, having contributed to a CBS documentary on the subject.
Cyrus is a licensed Architect in the states of Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Florida, and Texas.
